Painted in 2004 I did allot of experimenting before i got this painting right. Rather than paint the dancers stomping, i try to capture the movement and sound through application of color.

It is the sort of captivating, almost sad look in the boys face that led me to do this painting. Done in one sitting, it's almost a sketch. I never tried to rework it in the studio fearing I will lose the expression on his face.
