Painting description:
Painted in towards the end of 2005 after about a year of not painting, this was a bad time for me as an artist. The Atelier Gallery close with alot of money and work that belonged to me. Up to this time i have not recovered it. To "The Massai Women's" beaded jewerlly has alway been a mark of beauty and elegance, During the bridal ceremony the brides, as part of their "bridal costume", wear gorgeous, beaded jewelry. It on loan to the Zereoue Restaurant.

The Massai:
The Massai are semi-nomadic people located in East Africa mainly in Kenya and northern Tanzania. They are the most well Known of all African ethinic groups. They live of their livestock, mainly cattle. I have always been intrigued by their unique appearance. They pierce and stretch their ear lobes using thorns and ornaments made from elephant tusks.

I,m an artist from Uganda and I'm thinking of painting old West African Mask. My website futures East African tribes.
